A truly independent Nursery and Pre-school in Truro, Little Minnows Nursery is open on Lemon Street.

Our vision is to provide a home from home environment in which children aged 3 months to five years can thrive and grow.

Our light and airy rooms, sympathetically decorated and equipped with age appropriate toys and resources, provide a caring, stimulating and nurturing indoor space. We benefit from a large enclosed garden, unusual for a nursery in Truro with a multitude of areas to be explored, whether during child-led or adult-led activities, your little ones will love the sense of freedom and adventure.

Healthy snacks and nutritious meals are locally sourced and freshly prepared to provide the fuel that young minds and bodies need to develop.

You will be kept up to date with your child’s progress through daily diaries published in the EyLog App.

We offer full and part time care between the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm, 51 weeks of the year. Funded places are available for 2, 3 and 4 year old children who meet the government’s criteria.

Our Setting

Little Minnows is set in a beautiful Georgian House on Lemon Street.

The House

A stunning Georgian house, conveniently located on Lemon Street with ample parking. The house has large, light and airy rooms with a calm environment, ideal surroundings for your child to focus on a range of stimulating activities. As we prepare the rooms we will upload more photos for you to see.

The Garden

The large, securely enclosed garden provides a rich environment with a variety of areas. Perfect for self-exploration, guided discovery and outdoor learning whatever the weather. We will update this section as we make changes to the outdoor space.

Our sessions

Open 51 weeks of the year except Christmas and Bank Holidays.
Funded places are available for 2, 3 and 4 year old children who meet the government’s criteria. We are members of the Tax Free childcare scheme and also accept childcare vouchers from legacy employer schemes.

All Day

7:30am to 6:00pm

Our all day session includes all meals and healthy snacks.

Morning or Afternoon

7:30am to 1:00pm

Our morning session includes breakfast (7:30-8:00), lunch and healthy snacks. Our Afternoon session includes healthy snacks and a mid afternoon light tea.
